balti was founded in 1985 by Walter Baltensperger, who gave the company its name. The company started with a large order from Daimler for customer-specific systems. In the first years balti was almost exclusively active in the automotive industry. Later telecommunications were added and in recent times also industries such as white goods, wood, book and photovoltaic, whereby applications from other sectors are also successfully supported by balti.

balti has almost exclusively specialised in the processing of hotmelt and can certainly be counted among the leading and most innovative companies in this field. Among other things, the first systems for reactive adhesives have been developed with balti and corresponding adhesive manufacturers.

Since 2002 and within the framework of a succession plan, the company has been managed by Urs Sachs. The applications as well as the company could increasingly assert themselves on the market. Applications, sales areas and company could be successfully expanded, also thanks to the satisfied customers.
