Data processing
We process your data for various purposes relating to our communication with you. In doing so, we primarily use communication data and master data, as well as registration data relating to the offers and services you use. This data may be stored for documentation purposes, training, quality assurance and follow-up enquiries.
We also process data for marketing purposes and to maintain our customer relationships. We may send our users general or personalised information about our services, for example through occasional communications by email, post or telephone, as well as via other channels for which we hold your contact details. You may decline such contact at any time, or refuse or withdraw your consent to be contacted for marketing purposes. With your consent, we can tailor our online services more effectively to the needs of our users.
Furthermore, we may use your data for market research, to improve our online offering and our services, and, where appropriate, for product development.
Finally, we may also store and process your data on our website for security reasons and for access control purposes.
Log files
We primarily use data to generate server log files in order to carry out statistical analyses for the operation of the website, to ensure the security of our IT systems and to optimise the website. The legal basis for processing your data is our legitimate interest in being able to handle your online enquiry efficiently and effectively. If the purpose of the email contact is to enter into a contract, the data processing is based on the initiation of this contractual relationship.
Cookie preferences
We offer you the option to customise the use of cookies on our website via the Cookie Preference Centre to suit your needs, or to withdraw your consent to the use of cookies. In addition, most browsers allow you to be warned or notified when cookies are set, or to block cookies entirely. This allows us to tailor our advertising offers to your interests. However, no personally identifiable information that could be used to directly identify you is transmitted.

SSL
Due to the technical structure of the internet as an open network, we cannot guarantee the secure transmission of your data in all cases. If you send us your personal data, you do so entirely at your own risk.
To ensure the security of the data you transmit, we use encryption mechanisms that comply with current security standards (Transport Layer Security, TLS). TLS is a protocol for secure data transmission over the Internet and is supported by most browsers. It uses the public-key cryptosystem, in which data is encrypted using a publicly available key and can only be decrypted using a specific private key. Most browsers use a key icon or a padlock to indicate whether a connection is secure.
We implement various technical and organizational security measures to ensure the protection of your data within our system. However, we would like to point out that, despite these measures, there is a risk of data loss, unauthorized access to, or manipulation of data by third parties. Please also note that certain network segments and your computer are outside our controllable security perimeter. As a user, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the necessary security precautions and taking the appropriate measures within your control. We assume no liability whatsoever for any damages you may incur as a result of data loss or manipulation.
Data retention
We only retain your data for as long as is necessary for the purposes we have specified, or for as long as we are legally or contractually obliged to do so. Data that is no longer required for these purposes, even in the future, will be deleted as part of our regular data maintenance procedures or, alternatively, anonymised.
Update
This privacy policy does not form part of the contract and may be amended by us at any time. The version published here is the current one.
