Hotmelt technology in the construction industry

Windows, doors and roofs are sealed airtight with pressure-sensitive adhesive and butyl sealant (vapour diffusion barriers). balti supplies for example complete systems to produce pre-fabricated tapes, partly supplemented with non-woven fabrics, wound as roll goods according to customer specifications.

Assembly aids for insulating materials are provided with pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA).

The special gases in the interspaces of insulating glass must not escape for decades. Butyls create the seal and hold the glass together to form the spacers or are used as so-called "thermoplastic spacers" (TPS). In most cases the butyl is applied at least semi-automatically. balti drum melters and application systems are implemented by system suppliers to complete entire production lines.

Analog to the production of insulating glass, butyl is used as "spacer - TPS" for fire-resistant glass. balti has appropriate machine  technology for semi and fully automatic applications.
